Meeting the Challenge of Gateway Sizing
Because estimating the number of trunk channels that must be supported through VoIP gateways can be a challenge, Dialogic has created a new white paper that provides information that can help when preparing to move to Unified Communications. Subjects discussed include how to survey users and characterize call volume, as well as how to assign a ratio of users to trunk channels, summarize an organization's needs, and localize requirements. Sample worksheets are also included.
Support for Microsoft Communications Server "14"
Dialogic recently announced that it will provide a software migration path for its Dialogic® 4000 Media Gateways so that they can become Survivable Branch Appliances for Microsoft® Communications Server "14" later this year.
