OVERVIEW

The VXe release is designed to support the adoption of enterprise voice for Microsoft Office Communication Server 2007 R2 customers, providing branch offices with several key features, including Native DSP support for Microsoft RT-audio; support for meshed, high availability Office Communication Server networks; end-to-end Quality of Experience (QoE) monitoring; secure, line speed SRTP and TLS encryption; and automatic codec selection for enhanced audio quality.

Simplified Networks and Reduced Costs for Branch Offices

The extended UC features of the VXe release reduce the total cost of ownership by reducing server requirements and network management costs. Branch offices and remote sites will have a single device behind the router to provide local telephony network access for Microsoft Office Communication Server networks.

Branch Office Voice Availability

The NET VX can use its VXe extended UC features, and native Microsoft Active Directory integration allows voice service to continue in the event of a WAN outage, providing alternate routing to PSTN, ITSP and SIP Trunking connections. This allows customers to use their mobile phones and existing SIP phones as a backup enterprise voice availability solution
