The goal of this module is to provide a better understanding of the concepts and technologies that enable the transmission of voice over packet-switched networks. Upon completion of this module, the student should have an understanding of how general telephony concepts apply in VoIP and how it takes advantage of a data network cost-effectively to transport voice. This module will also introduce concepts necessary to complete the Gateways 101 module successfully.
